What it is

The Vatic Pro V-Sol Power 16mm is the power-leaning sibling to the V-Sol Pro flagship. Full foam core (the construction at the heart of the CRBN patent lawsuit, more on that below), Toray T700 raw carbon face, elongated shape, 16mm, US$109.99 list. Score of 80 with confidence "High", the V-Sol Power has fresh community sentiment and Vatic's strongest community trust profile of any brand in the sub-US$150 bracket.

How it plays

The Power variant is the bangers' V-Sol. Where the V-Sol Pro uses a floating EPP foam center with an EVA perimeter ring (more balanced, larger sweet spot), the V-Sol Power runs a full foam core that produces noticeably more pop. Pickleball Studio reviewers were mixed on whether the out-of-the-box poppy feel mellows after a break-in period, community sentiment leans toward yes, it softens into a trampoline effect after the first few sessions.

Owners who've spent time with the V-Sol Power Bloom shape consistently describe it as "fitting like a glove from the first session." One commenter compared it directly to Joola Pro IV, J2NF, and B&B Loco at higher prices, and concluded that the V-Sol Power is on the same tier for everyday play. That's a strong signal at US$109.

The trade-off: a control-leaning player or a beginner will find it too poppy out of the box. Lead tape at 2 and 10 o'clock is the standard tune. If you want plush and predictable, the V-Sol Pro is the sibling to buy.

The CRBN lawsuit

In December 2025, CRBN Pickleball filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Vatic Pro in California Central District Court, targeting the V-Sol Power's full-foam core construction. This is worth knowing as a buyer because the long-term availability of the V-Sol Power depends on how that litigation resolves. As of mid-2026 the paddle is still on Amazon and shipping to HK, but if you want this specific construction, buying now is the safer call than waiting.

Build and specs

Elongated shape, 16mm, 4 1/8" grip likely. Confidence score is 4 (lower than the V-Sol Pro's 7), reflecting the paddle's newer release and the lawsuit overhang on confidence in its long-term availability, not on the paddle's quality. Vatic's QC track record over the Prism Flash years has been clean.

Where it fits

Intermediate to advanced power player who wants foam-core pop without paying the CRBN TruFoam or Selkirk Boomstik premium. The 16mm thickness with foam core is the unusual combination here, thinner foam paddles (the more common construction) trade durability for power; the V-Sol Power keeps the 16mm dampening while adding the trampoline effect.

HK reality

First time Vatic has had a US Amazon marketplace presence. HK availability scored 7, best in the Vatic line. Ships in 2-3 weeks. The Amazon listing makes this much easier to buy than direct-from-Vatic.

Bottom line

The pop-forward Vatic V-Sol for power players. Buy it if you're a banger, an ex-tennis player with topspin drives, or a player who specifically wants foam-core feel at the lowest price the market currently offers it. The CRBN lawsuit is a real consideration for long-term buyers but doesn't affect what you get on day one.

CRBN Files Patent Infringement Lawsuit Against Vatic Pro. CRBN Pickleball filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Vatic Pro on December 17 in California Central District Court. The suit pertains to Vatic's V-Sol Power pickleball paddle, a full-foam core model that debuted this September.

I can agree with his take. The V-Sol's are incredible. I use the V-Sol Power Bloom myself and I've never used a paddle that just felt like it fit like a glove right from the first time using it. It's only gotten better with time and a little bit of weight at 2 & 10. I've never used a paddle that does 100% of what I want from a paddle and it's $100.

I've noticed the varying opinions as well, and I tend to trust the opinions of pb studio the most. I'm thinking that the v-sol power may be pretty poppy out of the box but soften up after a break in period, giving it more of that trampoline effect.

They are legit. I've had their Saga and now the v-sol power. I've hit some more expensive paddles people rave about like the joola pro IV, J2NF, Loco, etc. Are they better than the vatic? Not really - most paddles out now are really solid and you can adjust to any of them.

I kind of agree. I went from a few gen 1/1.5 paddles to the vatic v-sol power. I think what I enjoy so much about the v-sol is it has some of the soft feel of a gen 1 but the sweet spot and power potential of foam.
